anti static carpet::Static is created by friction between carpet fibres and moving objects such as shoes or electrical field currents from electronic equipment such as computers.
It is often most evident on nylon floors.
Air conditioning and low humidity create ideal conditions for the build up of static.
Static build up represents discomfort to your staff and can be a real danager to sensitive electronic equipment, which can be damaged by a static shock.
Why use antistatic treatment?
Our antistatic treatment puts down a layer of aqueous ionic charge on the surface of the carpet to increase conductivity and eliminate the problem.
This treatment prevents the build up of static and thus drastically reduces the chances of your staff or your equipment receiving a shock.
Are static shocks dangerous to my staff?
They are usually only a mild discomfort, but they do present a danger to sensitive offce equipment.
How long does antistatic treatment last?
The treatment lasts for between 6 and 9 months though in some extreme circumstances it may need to be repeated earlier or after cleaning the carpet.
How long will it take?
The treatment is quick and is usually done out of office hours.
The carpet should be dry and the office able to be used within an hour or so of the treatment being complete.
Are there any harmful side effects of antistatic treatements?
